Across the world today, around 2 billion people live without access to clean water.
That’s nearly 1 in 10 people, families who wake up every morning not knowing if the water they drink will heal them or harm them.
For millions in Palestine, Lebanon, Pakistan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Indonesia, Togo, and Burkina Faso, as well as Palestinian, Syrian, and Sudanese refugees in Egypt and Jordan, clean water isn’t a convenience it’s a matter of life and death.
The Reality of the Water Crisis
In Gaza, mothers are forced to give their children water contaminated by sewage.
In rural Pakistan, women walk for hours under the burning sun to fill a single jerry can from a muddy well.
In parts of Africa, children miss school every day because collecting water takes priority over learning.
💧 2.2 billion people still lack access to safe drinking water.
💧 1,000 children under five die every single day from diseases caused by unsafe water.
💧 200 million hours are spent daily — mostly by women and girls — just to collect water.

It’s not just a water crisis… we’re dealing with a worldwide health, education, and poverty humanitarian crisis.
Our Mission: Bringing Life to Communities Through Water
At Muslims Around The World (MATW), we believe that clean water is one of the greatest acts of Sadaqah.
Every drop you give continues to bring reward long after it flows from the ground.
Through the MATW Clean Water Aid Campaign, we’re building wells, solar-powered boreholes, and water systems that provide sustainable access to clean water in the world’s most water-stressed communities.
You Can Help Provide Fresh Drinking Water For Just:
◼ $30 – Daily clean water (4L) for a family (1 month)
◼ $150 – Provide a Clean Water Tank
◼ $300 – Build a solar-powered water pump
Our water projects serve:
Palestine & Lebanon – where infrastructure damage has left families with no access to clean water.
Egypt & Jordan – supporting Palestinian, Syrian, and Sudanese refugees who often go days without safe water.
Pakistan & Afghanistan – providing deep wells in drought-hit regions where families walk miles daily.
Bangladesh & Indonesia – installing boreholes in flood-prone areas to ensure reliable clean water.
Togo & Burkina Faso – delivering solar-powered wells to remote villages facing extreme scarcity.
How MATW Delivers Clean Water
Our local teams assess each community’s unique needs before installation. Depending on the region, we provide:
◼ Hand Pumps – simple, cost-effective wells serving entire villages.
◼ Deep Water Wells – reaching clean aquifers safely below contaminated surface levels.
◼ Solar-Powered Boreholes – eco-friendly, sustainable systems that supply thousands daily.
Each well is built locally, monitored for safety, and maintained by community leaders for long-term use.
Transforming Lives with Every Drop
Clean water changes everything.
Health: Clean water is the first line of defense against disease.
Every sip of clean water means one less child suffering from cholera or diarrhea — illnesses that kill thousands each year in developing regions. With safe water to drink, families no longer rely on stagnant ponds or muddy rivers that carry parasites and bacteria. Local clinics can focus on healing instead of fighting constant outbreaks.
Survival: Clean water keeps entire communities alive.
When drought hits or wells dry up, families are forced to walk miles under burning heat just to fill a single jerrycan. With a local, reliable water source, people no longer risk dehydration, exhaustion, or attacks on long, dangerous journeys. Every filled well becomes a lifeline — turning desperation into stability.
Sustainability: Water grows life, literally.
Access to clean water means crops can be irrigated, livestock can drink, and families can grow their own food year-round. It transforms barren land into fields of grain and vegetables. A simple well can feed an entire village — giving them control over their food supply instead of depending on aid.
Community Strength – When water is nearby, life returns.
People can build, farm, and raise families without fear of losing everything to the next dry season. Schools, mosques, and homes can flourish around the well — creating strong, self-sustaining communities that endure generation after generation.
A single water well can change the future of an entire community.
The Reward of Giving Water
The Prophet ﷺ said:
“The best charity is giving water to drink.”
— (Ahmad, Ibn Majah)
When you provide water, you give life — not just to people, but to generations to come.
Every drop that flows, every person who drinks, every life saved, the reward continues for you eternally.
